We have an active club membership at Birchwood comprising men, ladies, juniors, men's five day and social categories. The social side of the club has a number of non golfing evenings of entertainment . These may be viewed on the events page of the web site. There is a full catering and bar service provided for members and guests between 09:00 and 21:00 most days during the summer months.

The Mens golf competitions are mainly held on Sundays and the invitation days are held on Saturdays. Ladies day is Tuesday with their alternate day being Saturday. Both the men and the ladies have internal club competitions which include mixed competitions and knockouts. The club is also affiliated to the Manchester Alliance which hold inter club competitions within the Greater Manchester area.
